no problem mon... welcome to jamaica

While I was livin' the good life with Grandma & Papa in Windsor, my parents spent the week relaxing in Jamaica

True to form they decided to test out another Caribbean Sandals: Jamaica Whitehouse

And regardless of where they visit, Dad will always find some aspect of history

The resort itself was beautiful with a great Mediterranean feel.

Also, there were random peacocks running around everywhere. This one liked to show off for the guests on occasion (and the ladies peacocks as well...

Most of the day was spent hanging out on the beach.

And YES, both of them actually spent time in the sun...

But who are we kidding, my parents NEED shade, so the first task of the morning would be to find a nice shady spot on the beach (where they could watch everyone else partaking in sun).

The first day they scored this sweet spot with ample room for their numerous drinks and lots of sun protection all day long

When they felt they had enough swimming the ocean and lying around beach side reading novels and sipping tropical drinks (tough life), they partook in many activities.

While you can't see it above, this is the huge ocean bicycle that they rode (because of the weight differential between mom and dad, it was difficult not to ride around the ocean in circles...)

There was a few games of pool

And lots of tennis

(mom loves this pic of dad's cool tennis moves)

mom tennis moves weren't as cool, but she enjoyed testing out her new tennis racket

and no outdoors bars were missed - mom is very thorough in this regard

one day mom even convinced dad to go to the spa for a couples massage. Dad wasn't at all thrilled at the concept, but was a good sport about it

and mom was a good sport about going out on a glass bottom boat tour...

she came very close to strangling the woman next to her that screamed and shouted every time she saw a "fishy!"

there were also many long walks along the beach (dad really uses the walks as an excuse to take pics of mom in her new victoria secret bikinis)

there was also a lot of time spent having patios drinks and playing euchre
(mom was pissed because dad can now finally claim the Caribbean Euchre Championship)

evenings were just as fun at the resort, with lots of restaurants and fantastic entertainment

mom and dad also made some new friends while in Jamaica

Here is a great shot of the Whitehouse crew: Ian & Fiona and Maureen & Kevin

Coincidentally, mom and Ian were at Schulich together 7 years ago (they literally worked a real "beer" consulting project while at MBA... I know that sounds far fetched, but quite true)

Ian and dad did a good job guarding the ladies purses while they hit the dance floor

not surprisingly mom took a real shine to some cool coconut and rum drinks that they were passing out at an outdoor bbq one night

(double fisted coconuts - awesome!)

While mom and dad had lots of fun every night, their favourite night was when they had a private dinner on the beach (in the hut seen above)

(Bachelor fans eat your heart out!)

When they arrived, there were pre-printed individualized menus for their 4-course meal

and they got their own personal server for the evening

They ate lobster & steak and drank champagne and wine... and likely had the best dinner experience ever

And, of course, they thought about me the whole time - right???
