Happy Birthday Dad!

This long weekend it was party central in our house in honour of Dad's big day!

On Saturday we invited our friends over.

And because it was for Dad's birthday, mom thought of actually cooking but then decided it was in everyone's best interest not to attempt such a feat.

PS thanks Summerhill Market and Costco! My friends were there too.

And just so we wouldn't distract the parents during their meal, we got to watch a movie together. Apparently Dylan isn't as disturbed by "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' as Lola and I were!

As a good son should, I was in charge of candle blowing duty and initial cake tasting

On Sunday, the Etherington clan gathered together to celebrate

It was a dual birthday celebration for both Dad and Sarah.

Sarah even sacrificed the princess cake that she really wanted for this Scooby-Doo cake (maybe Shaggy reminds her of Uncle Mark :))

Something interesting always happens when all the Etheringtons get together en mass... I fondly refer to it as 'Cousin Chaos'

Above is a pic of cousin chaos at its finest - breakdancing try-outs in the kitchen Now that Sloane is walking like a champ on her own, she has traded in her beginner's cousin chaos badge for a full blown membership (shortly to become leader I think) Happy birthday Sarah and Dad.
