Fun in Florida!

Come and join the WHOLE gang as we revisit our adventures in New Smyrna & Orlando this past week!

As you can see there are quite a few of us in this picture (all in our Canada gear). So, in case you were wondering who we all are, (deep breath) here goes....

On the far left side is mom's cousin Dana and her ever-growing family of 6, including baby Sloane born on Boxing Day.  

On the right-hand side of the pic is the real reason we were all visiting Florida - Aunt Erica! And joining her all the way from Dubai is Uncle Kenny (standing directly behind her).

Mom's Aunt Bonnie (aka Grandma's sister) is front & centre along with Great Uncle Don.

Then we have the Millson crew - Uncle Johnny & Shelley, Papa John & my Grandma.  

And last but not least are the Joseph's - Aunt Jody, Uncle Brad, Brooke and Parker!!

Okay, ready to jump into my Florida adventure?  Here we go!

My vacation had a bit of a rough start... including going to the airport 12 hours too early for our flight (yes, not a proud moment for my mom and dad) and then the first hour at the beach I got stung by a jelly fish!

For future reference, there are 3 things that help with a jelly fish attack (1) two amazing cousins who won"t leave your side (2) a delicious red popsicle to help you forget about the pain and (3) a doctor who conveniently is on the beach with his medical bag and can administer topical lidocaine

And the beer helped mom cope :)

The next day, however, I was 100% healed and back in the saddle body surfing on the waves!

And the crowds rejoiced :)

Let the family vacation begin!

Which includes some quality time with my cousins!

Virgin Miami Vice anyone?

Ahhhhhh, memories of the beach... 

And the beach on New Smyrna is PERFECT for kite flying 

...building WICKED sand castles

(Complete with scary sea monsters in our protective moat!) 

this beach is also perfect for quality time with my dad

...cruisin' the strip in our pimped out golf cart

...cuddles with my grandma

...and a drink or two or three (for adults only)

But the best part of the vacation is spending quality time with my family

no matter how silly they may be!

And while we were away we got a chance to celebrate a very important date together - Brooke's birthday!

Aunt Jody may have given me the biggest piece of birthday cake... and, as you can see, it didn't stand a chance!

 And because we were close to Orlando, we just couldn't resist another trip to Disney!! 

This time we went to Epcot!  

And what made this trip even better than Magic Kingdom? The chance to bring Grandma and Papa and Aunt Erica and Uncle Kenny with us!!

We missed Canada while we were away, so we thought we would visit the Canada Village in Epcot.  

Last time I checked though the Chateau Frontenac wasn't right next to the Canadian Rockies...

Next stop, jolly 'ol England

And during our visit we rode on EVERY ride Epcot had to offer!

This is pic of The Seas with Nemo & Friends ride. I wasn't impressed by the jelly fish part of this one for obvious reasons...

 We even saw Captain EO... and I was a bit confused as to whether Michael Jackson was a girl or a boy. I feel quite certain that I am not the first person to be confused by this.

But my favourite ride was in Mexico.  It was the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros.

I am explaining this to Mexican Donald... although he may only speak Spanish, so not certain he understood me completely.

And we even stayed late to watch the fireworks show...

I am truly a luck boy to have had such an amazing vacation, with an absolutely wonderful and loving family

We miss you already Aunt Erica.
