No one does Christmas like the Garard’s!

One of our favourite Christmas traditions is to visit The Garard’s Christmas Extravaganza… a home that Clark W. Griswold himself would be envious of!

All of the Etherington’s receive an invitation (suckers!) and the children happily (and noisily) descend upon their home and all who live there…… there is no hiding from us

My first stop is always my Aunt Nancy, who is one of my favourite people - and, as you can see, I enjoy smothering her with affection as much as possible.

All of the other cousins love Nancy too – so, sometimes it becomes a cage match for her attention. Or sometimes it becomes a Christmas conga line!

Uncle Dave arranges gifts for everyone and it is customary that you have to sit on the Christmas bench to receive your gift.

The boys are sometimes skeptical of Dave’s presents… having received a few classics in the past. They are especially skeptical when Dave tells you to sit on the bench, put out your hand and close your eyes. I think Uncle Paul’s expression really says it all
