My Parents' Vacation to Los Cabos

okay... I am still gathering some pictures of my vacation to Grandma's & Papa's house, so in the meantime thought you might like to see pics of my parents' vacation to MexicoThey went to Los Cabos (the tip of the Californian baja peninsula). Apparently it is quite beautiful. mom & dad also went there on their honeymoon 5 years ago
This is the view from their hotel... much better than the snow that they left at the airport!

my aunt nycki and uncle paul went too!! Which meant that cousin Skylar also had a nice vacation with her Nana C (and Nana K & Papa too!)

Some days there were giant cruise ships all over the harbour (which annoyed my mom and aunt nycki as they blocked the view of the mountains!)

The red flag waved every day on the beach (which warns tourist types to stay away from the waves) - but mom couldn't resist playing in the Pacific ocean

And, of course, dad took a million pictures... but eventually both he and uncle paul were swimming in the Pacific too

One day the four of them took a glass bottom boat to see the famous arch

The arch (seen above) is where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean

It is also where the sea lions like to hang out

There is a tiny beach near the arch. The beach on the Sea of Cortex side is called 'lovers beach'. The beach on the Pacific side is called 'divorced beach' - as you could instantly drown from the strong undertow of the Pacific.

The rocks near the beach were quite a site as well. Dad reluctantly handed over the camera to mom so she could take some pics. She really likes this one of my dad

Of course mom took a personalized embroidered beach bag with her on vacation. On the one side of the bag are names of beaches that my mom and dad have traveled to together. Mom is pointing at the name of the beach that she is on. (and in case you were wondering the other side of the bag says 'Katie's Beach Bag'... but you probably already guessed that!)

mom and dad also had fun just hanging out by the pool. They always had the best spot as aunt nycki would get up every morning at 7am and save them a lounge chair. thanks nycki :)

Of course at night there was a lot of fun to be had as well. There were performances put on by the staff (mom loved their rendition of Chicago) - and they also had a disco. And while the girls drank beer, uncle paul and dad enjoyed their fruity girlie drinks!!

And while my parents missed me terribly (BJ who??) they both had an amazing trip!!
