On the Beach with My Peeps

Day 3 Recap

(even though Dad pointed out that he has actually been here 5 days... oh well, we are using vacation math)

In order to talk about today we first need to start with some arts & crafts we did last night.

Every year Aunt Leah has a Peeps Diorama contest (click on the link to read all about the contest details and past entries)

This year mom is finally going to have an entry!

Please note expectations of quality of mom's entry are "0" :) As they should be.

But mom is no dummy, so she enlisted the help of Dad, Grandma and Papa. They all had a couple of drinks and decided to get the Wal-Mart peeps ready for the next day

The theme of the inaugural entry: Victoria Secret Beach Photo Shoot This is a bit different than a normal shoebox of course... a bit more sandy All of the peeps were dressed up in their Victoria Secret bathing suits, except for the Hedonism IV side of the beach (located on the "other" side of our wooden fence) - clothing, including bathing suits, are optional (the Hedonism twist was of course Dad's idea) We didn't have much to work with (including limited peeps creative ability) but had way too much fun putting it together

Eventually, the tide came in and all of our peeps got washed away

But be sure to check out Lola's blog for our official entry. As well as some actual good entries that Sarah and Leah will have!

Our Beach Peeps adventure made us very hungry, so we cruised the town until we found a perfect spot to grab some lunch

Nervous Nellies! Where everyone had delicious fish sandwiches (except mom who thinks that fish sandwiches are gross)

Then back to our place for some fun in the hot tub and pool

After all my water activities for the day, I needed a change of clothing. So grandma offered her shorts for me to wear

Thanks Grandma for lending me your clothes! I think I just might keep these ones

What you can't see here is the sand blasting we got!!! It was thick on our face and skin....we couldn't see out of our glasses, we had trouble even finding our towels as they were covered with sand in minutes. That's my excuse for the peeps outfits...they blew off and we had no way to keep them in place. By the way the hot tub had lots of sand on the botton when we got out. Sorry about that. Lunch was great and it was an amazing day to add to all the others!
