The Birthday Cake Saga

Aunt Leah made a special birthday cake for mom - completely from scratch. Even the icing too!

Of course, we were ALL very excited to sample Leah's cake, but none more excited than me!

After waiting for hours & hours, 'cake time' was almost upon us. Aunt Leah even let us kids put on the finishing touches!

Don't be fooled, the big smiles weren't for a job well done with the candles. Instead, we were simply cooperating with our parents & their cameras as we knew what the end game would be... sweet, delicious, home-made chocolate cake...
"say cheeeeesssseee"

All right. We're all in position.

"Dylan seriously, put that wine sticker down. Cake is coming - geeezz, concentrate man! Amateurs..."

Okay, the moment has FINALLY arrived! Time for some singing!

Isn't there a short version of 'Happy Birthday to You'??!!

Candles extinguished in 2 seconds flat. All business now. Sooooo close to digging into this scrumptious cake.

Wait a minute.... what did you say Dad? Another picture before we can eat it!? Why are you doing this to me... my patience is wearing thin.... I feel an incredible hulk moment coming....
