"Thank Goodness I Only Paid $8 for That"

Well, those were Leah's words upon leaving the theatre after viewing Breaking Dawn Part 2.

As expected, the movie itself was absolutely horrible but OH SO fantastic and the ladies had a perfect ending to their Twilight journey!

They gorged themselves on nachos, cheese fries and margaritas pre-movie (Leah ordered a salad, so mom, Lia and Kim felt compelled to pile all of their unhealthy food in front of her.  This way, the passerbys at the Pickle Barrel would think she not only had bad taste in embroidered t-shirts but very unhealthy taste in food in as well).

Over drinks, the girls gave some serious thought to what their vampire super power would be. For those Twilight virgins, I will explain...  when a human transforms into a vampire, they bring their strongest human trait into their new life. When someone has a particularly intense skill or characteristic, it heightens after their transformation. Some of those characteristics become a supernatural power of some sort. The more pronounced it was in human form, the stronger it becomes in vampire form

The girls collectively agreed that mom's power might be 'anger'.  And the ladies were careful to say it in a nice way so as not to anger mom :)  They also might have compared her to Jane, which is of course one of mom's favourite characters in Twilight "this may hurt just a little..."

The anger super power theory might be accurate because mom became very angry during the fight scene in the movie... her thoughts were as follows:

"hmmmm, I don't remember Alice kicking Aro in the face.... interesting.  What is Carlisle doing?? Omg, he's dead?! I guess they thought they needed to kill off one of the Cullen clan... I think I can live with that...nooo, not Jasper too??! This is not right, no not right at all... what are they thinking....  wait, is that Seth??! NO, NOT SETH!!! THIS IS SOOOO NOT IN THE BOOK!! LEAH, NOT HER TOO!! WHAT IS GOING ON!!! SOOOOOOOO ANGRY RIGHT NOW!!"

Of course there was the collective sigh and "oooohhhhh" echoed in the theatre when we all realized it was just Alice's prediction of the future and there actually was no real fight - thus proving that Breaking Dawn part II was pretty much a movie about nothing.  But mom was happy again.

While the ladies are sad that Twilight has officially come to a close, we are all excited to continue our juvenile behaviour with The Hunger Games :)
