St Patrick’s Day is becoming a much-loved holiday in our
house… for instance, it has officially surpassed Valentine’s Day in my
opinion. Sorry Cupid. Check in again when I am 30.
This is our third annual St. Paddy’s day celebration - and it never disappoints. We all dress in green, my friends and I
(Lola, Quinn & Dylan) get banished to the basement while the adults listen to
U2, Sinead and the Cranberries and drink Jameson and slow gin fizzes (which
actually have no relation to St. Paddy’s day whatsoever, but according to my
mom are quite delicious and now have been officially added to the St. P’s
tradition roster)
For us kids, St. Paddy’s day is also synonymous with an ‘end
of the rainbow’ scavenger hunt! Orchestrated by none other than the talented
and vivacious Sarah Stoski (so, watch out Easter Bunny, St. Paddy’s is coming
for you too!)
Our parents like to dress up in funny costumes to take
pictures for their instagram viewers… although the older we get the more we
start to question the clothing items they have chosen for us.
But in the end, who are we kidding? We are our parents’ children!
Hope everyone had a great St Paddy’s day J Top of the mornin’ to
yah
