An "Out of This World" Baby Shower for Lia

Mom's friend Lia is expecting a little boy... in a about a month!

So, mom helped to organize a celebration for my soon-to-be new friend.

From when she knew she was pregnant, Lia has always referred to him as little "Cub".

And Cub is going to have a spaced-themed nursery... so mom and Lia's friends decided to have a "Cub in Space" shower for her!

Mom actually knows Cub's real name, but is sworn to absolute secrecy :)

As you can see in the pic above, mom was in charge of games. Of course.

Mom was also in charge of party favours. Which meant she did a brilliant thing and outsourced her embroidery to Grandma, who did a far superior job of making individualized space-themed tea towels for all of the guests.

Nice work Grandma!
Baby showers are always fun, especially when you have an embroidery / sewing machine. As per Exhibit A: space & stars quilted blanket (also outsourced to Grandma!)

Exhibit B: "Cub in Space" receiving blanket

Exhibit C: a bib with a tie that says "Mr. Jasani" across it (in which mom actually cut up and used one of dad's old ties)

The countdown is on - can't wait to meet Cub soon!
