Calvin and Hobbes is a personal favourite of mom's, so she couldn't resist bringing some Valentines cheer 'Hobbes-style' to everyone who reads my blog!
The trials of Calvin and Susie warm mom's heart, especially now that mom has her own real-life Calvin at home... and btw Susie looks identical to my little girlfriend Morgan, and she is equally good at wielding snowballs!
However, let the record show that I gave Morgan a Lego Ninjago Valentines day card today... probably not her favourite, but it did have hearts on it and was a far cry from a worm-eaten corpse...

For fun, let's compare the remarkable similarity traits between Calvin and me:
- Six-year-old only child - yep.
- Outgoing and rambunctious (i.e. talks ALOT) - yep.
- Not much of a filter between brain and mouth - yep.
- A little too intelligent for our age - yep.
- Creative hilarity bordering on slight sadistic tendencies - yep. (just ask mom about the traumatic bunny scenario....)
- Belief that 'Life is a lot more fun when you're not responsible for your actions' - yep. (hmmmm, while this is a direct quote from Calivn speaking to Hobbes, I believe that this shared belief is a slight problem with my grade 1 teacher and might have recently been written in my report card...)
- Love of snow and red underwear! - yep. (in fact Calvin's alter ego Stupendous Man wears nothing but red underwear)
And since it is still winter, here are some of mom's favourite snowman clips that remind her of me!!
